Zydone is a prescription medicine that is usually taken to relieve chronic to moderate pain and is actually a combination of two different components namely: hydrocodone and acetaminophen. The composition of zydone and the ingredients make it quite similar to vicodin however the major difference lies in the amount of acetaminophen in both products.

How Zydone Works

Zydone contains two ingredients acetaminophen and hydrocodone. The main function of acetaminophen is to stop the production of prostaglandin in the body which is actually responsible for creating the feeling of pain in the body on the other hand hydrocodone gives the body a feeling of partial sedation and gives the brain a feeling of being high or in a state of euphoria.

Zydone Addiction

It is true that this drug is quite an effective pain killer and is a popular prescription drug medication for the same. When zydone is taken strictly under guidance of a doctor and taken as recommended by him it has little chance of causing an addiction, however when it’s is taken specifically for the feeling of high or euphoria they give the user it is abused and can cause a serious addiction. This statement is true not just for zydone but for other prescription medications as well.
